They know that times are challenging for everyone, and the Yvonne Arnaud also know that theatre is a lifeline to many. They are doing their best to keep the theatre accessible, both financially and physically, by offering amazing new ticket discounts and pushing ahead with their Play Your Part campaign, which will provide greatly improved equality of access to our grade II listed 1965 building.

There’s no need to wait to get a great value seat. With Advance Tickets you can save 50% per ticket for all shows, on selected performances, from the moment they go on sale. But you’ll need to book fast, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

In addition, their new Multi-Buy tickets mean the more you see, the more you save. Book two or more shows at the same time and save 10%, or book four or more and save 25%. The Multi-Buy can be combined with Advance Tickets, where available, and if you are a Friend of the theatre, you save an additional 5%, meaning that you could save over 60% on your tickets. That’s two free tickets!

Their customers often tell them that the auditorium stairs can be tricky to navigate. As a result, they are installing grab rails along the stairs on both aisles, to make reaching your seat much easier.

To make even greater improvements to accessibility, they launched our Play Your Part capital fundraising campaign last year.  They are hoping that their application to Surrey County Council’s Your Fund Surrey scheme will unlock £8 million, as part of this larger, £11 million campaign. They are now awaiting the go ahead with the next step in a critical process that will enable them to transform the theatre from an inaccessible, leaking 1960’s building into to a fit for purpose cultural and community hub able to better serve the communities of Surrey.

They have received 500 ‘likes’ (and rising) on the interactive map of projects, www.yvonne-arnaud.co.uk/play-your-part, another 1500  individuals, to date, have supported the campaign by completing one of their postcards and they have received many more letters, emails and personal conversations.

I saw my very first production in this theatre when I was at school…  I am here today with my own daughter. Theatre ignites the imagination, allows you to lose yourself into another world, away from modern day worries. The Yvonne Arnaud …. (is) a place where family & friends come together, it services our community & should be preserved.” Postcard comment from an audience member.

Some of us benefit from taking part in sport and physical challenges, others find creative enjoyment and cultural participation to be their lifeline. The Yvonen Arnaud are pleased to be able to offer those people something special, in the heart of Surrey. A successful fundraising campaign will enable us to do much more of the things we are so good at, benefitting some many more local people.
