We were sent a copy of the Popmaster Official Board Game and much enjoyed playing it. You can have 4 players or 4 teams and you play against each other, playing a suggested minimum of two rounds. Three of us played singulary and the two younger players combined their knowlege and played as a team.
Each round features 10 questions, with three of them being your specialist subject, which you choose from two different choices. The two players who are leading after the 10 questions then go into the head to head final. This works brilliantly – scan the QR code on one of the cards and then you get to play via your phone or iPad, although there are some cards if you would prefer to use these.
We played two rounds and had a great deal of fun. The questions did span the various decades and are multiple choice, which certainly helped. A good fun game for people with an interest and a little knowledge of pop music.
