Enjoy the summer’s beautiful blooms with Phyllis Tuckwell’s Open Gardens!

From June to September, gardens across West Surrey and North-East Hampshire will be opening their gates for visitors to enjoy these wonderful green spaces, all to raise money for local hospice care. From large gardens with wildflower meadows and idyllic woodland streams, to smaller spaces with blossoming shrubs and pots of colourful flowers, Open Gardens is all about celebrating and sharing the beauty of your garden with others, for an important local cause.

22 gardens will be opening for the event, and some garden owners will also be selling refreshments or plants. All of the money raised through entry fees and plant or refreshment sales will go towards helping fund the vital palliative and end of life care that Phyllis Tuckwell provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer. As the NHS/Government only cover around 25% of its costs, it has to raise over £25,000 every day to offer all its services, which it gives free of charge to its patients and their families and carers.

“Open Gardens is a wonderful way to connect with nature and your local community, and raise important funds for Hospice Care” said Helena Burke, community fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell. “There are such stunning gardens to explore, and your entry fee will go directly towards helping us provide our vital care to local people.
