Clutter can cost more than people realise — in money, time, and the space it takes away. As a professional organiser I bring structure, efficiency, and calm to a process that can feel overwhelming. With the right support, you save money by using what you already own, save time by making real progress quickly, and reclaim space you can enjoy and use again.
I’m Julie, founder of Space and Time Reclaimed, designed for all, with special knowledge and interest in the unique needs of older adults and those supporting them. I can help adults seeking to simplify their living spaces, downsize, and families navigating the challenges of organising after the loss of a loved one.
Having worked with older adults managing retirement housing for 11 years I saw how much of a difference a calm, orderly home can make. The desire to organise, declutter, share possessions and memories with family and friends was often there but the physical and emotional ability to complete those tasks was likely to be a barrier. Having someone to help with that can lead to spending more quality time with family, sharing old photos and treasured items after the initial sorting has occurred.
Finances are often overstretched and we convince ourselves that we can juggle work, family, caring for older adults as well as managing all life and home organisation without needing paid help, but perhaps this isn’t always possible. In reality, most of us already choose ways to make life easier; paying for the car to be cleaned, the grass to be cut, someone to decorate; things that most of us can do but may not have the time, skills or capacity to complete.
Often we support relatives from a distance and underestimate how much time and money is incurred. I learned this myself; my sister and I spent most of 2025 sorting and clearing our mum’s house which, for me, was over 200 miles away and each trip not only cost me annual leave but also around £500 in petrol, hotel costs, meals and other expenses. If we had sought local professional support during this period, it would have been much more efficient both in terms of the financial spend and the emotional cost to us whilst trying to juggle everything.
Based in Farnborough, I cover the surrounding locations including Farnham, Guildford, Camberley, Frimley, Bagshot, Ascot, Sunningdale, Fleet, Basingstoke, Alton and Winchester. I can provide professional organising services, with a personal touch, that will motivate and enable you to reclaim your spaces and time. This could include providing practical help for older adults, sensitive bereavement support, including sorting and compiling relevant paperwork or room repurposing, decluttering and downsizing.
Feel free to contact me for a friendly chat about your needs and find out how I can help you.
