Jacob Scully from ScullyScully in Godalming, has scooped the CREATIVE HAIRCUTTER GOLD award at this year’s prestigious Global Creative Awards 2022 UK & Ireland Finals.
Held at the iconic 14th century, Grade I listed Merchant Taylor’s Hall, London, the gold, silver, and bronze winners were unveiled to an audience of salon guests from all over the UK; also cheered on by renowned sustainability visionaries, fashion designers, and KMS collaborators, VIN + OMI.
More than 300 guests attended the live grand final extravaganza to celebrate the incredible talents who made it to the final stage of the UK & Ireland Final, as well as to crown the worthy winners of 2022.
Hosted by Kao Salon Division UK & Ireland General Manager, Julie Winchester and Key Account Educator, Tony Perryman, guests were welcomed with canapes, Champagne, cocktails, and a string quartet. As well as, of course, the best party in town, all before experiencing a stunning runway show, featuring the finalists’ stunning hair creations.
Reaching the finals of the Global Creative Awards is a prestigious accolade, with stylists first challenged to create their vision through a stunning photograph, followed by recreating it in the international live competition.
Jacob is now preparing to take to the stage to represent the UK & Ireland in the CREATIVE HAIRCUTTER category at prestigious international Kao Salon Global Experience competition in Amsterdam in October, set to host an international audience of salons from around the globe
“This whole experience has been inspirational and very exciting. I can’t wait to represent the UK against the rest of the world and hopefully bring the gold trophy home” said Jacob.
