Hamish, the Community Engagement Manager for Home Instead Godalming, is passionate about working with organisations and local businesses interested in supporting community projects that encourage connection, engagement, and wellbeing. These initiatives not only bring people together but also help to support our clients in meaningful ways.
“Providing excellent care at home is only part of the solution. By connecting with local businesses, care homes, charities and councils we create opportunities for Home Instead clients to stay active and engaged,” says Hamish. “Helping our clients remain active improves their personal wellbeing and connects them to their community.” If you run local events or services that benefit older adults, he would love to hear from you.
Dementia Connections Café
As Dementia Champions, Hamish and the Home Instead Godalming team are well led to share information about their specialised dementia care, providing expert support to clients, families and the local community. They’re delighted to be partnering with Dementia Action Groups and Surrey County Council to launch a Dementia Connections Café in the area.
