This November, Stoke Park in Guildford will once again come alive with colour, music, and community spirit as our much-loved Firework and Live Music Festival returns on Saturday 8th November. Organised by the Guildford Lions Club, the event promises an unforgettable evening of entertainment—with every penny of profit going directly to support local causes.

This year alongside our own club welfare fund, the festival is proudly supporting the Fountain Centre, an independent charity offering vital emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families from the moment of diagnosis and beyond.

Thanks to a successful pilot programme, the centre is now launching a new exercise service designed for all cancer patients, regardless of diagnosis. This initiative will provide:

  • Personalised exercise plans tailored to individual needs
  • Supervised group sessions to foster connection and motivation
  • Ongoing assessments to ensure safety and track progress

The pilot revealed something truly special: beyond physical health, these sessions offer a lifeline of social and emotional support, helping patients feel less isolated and more empowered during a challenging time.

A donation of £10,000 would allow the Fountain Centre to deliver 400 one-on-one exercise appointments, giving patients the personalised care they deserve. By attending the festival, you’re not just enjoying a spectacular night—you’re helping make this vision a reality.
