Velvet Rebellion is an international championship cat show styled like a fashion event, and it’s coming to Leatherhead Leisure Centre on 14th and 15th November.
Meet hundreds of pedigree cats and breeds you may never have seen in person: cloud-like Ragdolls and Persians, leopard-spotted Bengals, tall Savannahs, and the hairless Sphynx and Peterbald (they feel like warm peaches). Watch an international panel of TICA judges, with judges travelling from as far as Canada, at work in 10 rings across the weekend, with runway-style finals on Sunday.
Families get a free Cativity Zone with crafts and a breed hunt, and children can take part in Gentle Paws, a short session with Ellie’s Animal Academy that teaches them to handle cats kindly, with a certificate to take home. A marketplace of independent cat businesses runs both days.
Run by Felinology, founded by sisters Jo and Emily Bell in 2016. Under-12s go free.
