Chris Wright is the artist and craftsman behind Teddy’s Knives.
From his studio in Godalming he creates beautiful, high quality, unique kitchen knives for discerning chefs and cooks.
The company is named after Chris’ son, Teddy, in the hope that he will learn to appreciate hard work, tenacity and creativity.
Each piece is completely handmade.
Stunning woods and high-quality high carbon steel is used including San Mai steel and Damascus.
“I have a BA in design from the Chelsea School or Art and Design and have always had an interest in knives since my grandfather gave me a small sheath knife when I was young. Knife making is my passion,” said Chris, “My knives are now in the kitchens of many discerning chefs including professionals. I am extremely proud of what I have built and will not allow a knife out of my workshop until I would be happy to receive it myself.”
Chris has recently added knife making experience days to his repertoire: spend the day with Chris at his Godalming studio making a small Japanese inspired pairing knife. Available for two people or as a single person, Chris will work alongside you throughout the day, offering his expert guidance and experience and helping you to create a beautiful final product and memories for years to come. You can buy vouchers for this experience on his website – the PERFECT gift for Father’s Day!
