Local MP joins first residents to celebrate the grand opening of Leatherhead’s newest retirement community
Leatherhead, Surrey – Birchgrove proudly celebrated the official opening of Christ Church Apartments on Friday 12th September – unveiling a vibrant new retirement community at the heart of Leatherhead.
The ribbon was cut by Rt Hon Helen Maguire, MP, alongside Denis Loretto, the first resident to move into Christ Church Apartments earlier this year.
Denis shared his personal experience of finding not only a beautiful new home but also a welcoming community spirit: “It’s wonderful to see Christ Church Apartments come to full fruition,” said Mr. Loretto. “Since moving in May, I’ve discovered more than just modern, comfortable accommodation – I’ve found a place where neighbours become friends and life feels full of possibility”.
The launch was attended by local dignitaries, including Councillor Tim Hall, Chairman of Surrey Council, and Councillor Roger Adams, Chair of Mole Valley District Council, highlighting the significance of Christ Church Apartments in addressing the region’s growing need for high-quality retirement housing.
