A new tourism site, Visit Mole Valley, is shining a spotlight on the beautiful destination of Mole Valley in Surrey, encouraging locals to explore a little deeper and visitors from further afield to see beyond the famous sights.

Proudly situated at the heart of the Surrey Hills, yet just an hour from London, Mole Valley is home to the historic and characterful market towns of Dorking and Leatherhead as well as the bustling larger villages of Ashtead, Bookham and Fetcham. Alongside these, charming smaller countryside villages such as Brockham, Forest Green, Abinger Hammer, Ockley, Coldharbour and many more are ripe for exploration.

The new Visit Mole Valley tourism website aims to not only celebrate the region’s iconic landmarks – such as Box Hill and the Stepping Stones, Leith Hill Tower and the National Trust’s Polesden Lacey – but also to highlight lesser-known hidden gems. The site has been created to inspire exploration and discovery, in turn aiming to boost the local economy in a sustainable way, inspiring people to visit different and new out-of-the-way places.

With everything from free family activities, to relaxing day spas, where to locate an 18th-century windmill, the best pub gardens to soak up the summer sun, where to get hands-on with an artistic workshop or perhaps ideas of dog-friendly places to stay, Visit Mole Valley offers insight for those planning a day out, weekend adventure or a longer holiday in the Surrey Hills. Alongside this, the new website lists upcoming events and festivals, including the award-winning Mole Valley Arts Alive festival taking place each autumn.

Interspersed with suggestions of where to eat, drink, rest, play and explore, Visit Mole Valley is set to be the new go-to guide for a destination that offers something for everyone, from the outdoors adventurer to the history lover; the arts enthusiast to the keen foodie and so much more.
