Home- made teas.\nhttps://findagarden.ngs.org.uk/garden/33229/the-folly \nColourful cottage garden surrounding a C16 period house (not open)\, set in the pretty downland village of Charlton\, close to Levin Down Nature Reserve. Herbaceous borders are well-stocked with a wide range of plants. A variety of perennials\, grasses\, annuals\, and shrubs provide a long season of colour and interest. The garden also features an old well\, busy bees\, and an art studio open to visitors. Partial wheelchair access with steps from patio to lawn. Visitors with mobility issues can be dropped off at the gate. \nOccasionally garden openings are cancelled please always check on the NGS website https://ngs.org.uk before visiting a garden. \nThanks to the generosity of garden owners\, volunteers and visitors The National Garden Scheme have donated over £77.8 million to nursing and health charities and in 2025 made an annual donation of over £3.8 million. The core beneficiaries include Carers Trust\, Macmillan Cancer Support\, Marie Curie\, Hospice UK\, Parkinson’s UK and The Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing. \nThe National Garden Scheme doesn’t just open beautiful gardens for charity – they are passionate about the physical and mental health benefits of gardens too.
