DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 14th April 2026 at 7.30pm \nGrayshott Folk Club introduces:\nWAYWARD JANE\n(on tour from Scotland)\nhttps://www.waywardjane.com/ \nWayward Jane’s music is a modern interpretation of American Folk and Old Time traditions\, blending roots music with fresh\, nuanced arrangements and original songs. Their rich sound features Fiddle\, Claw Hammer Banjo\, Double Bass\, Guitar\, Wooden Flute and some glorious close vocal harmonies. Wayward’s live shows have a joyful energy\, expressing the fine musicianship and playful chemistry of the four long-time friends. Ranging in mood from bouncing\, energetic tunes to tender and soulful songs\, Wayward Jane aim to leave audiences with a glow in their hearts. \nThey have already released three albums to date – “Wayward Jane”\, “Old Train”\, and “The Flood”. The latter had rave reviews\, plays on Radio 6Music\, a live performance on BBC Radio 4’s “Loose Ends”\, and won them a prestigious slot at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections Festival in 2025.\nWayward Jane are a new band to Grayshott Folk Club but having listened to them\, for me they had instant appeal\, with lush harmony vocals\, tuneful melodies and accessible lyrics.
