The lecture this September will be given by Isabelle Shloesinger and take us back to Louis XIV who settled Louisiana. We will hear about what the settlers did and what remained after Bonaparte sold the country. As usual, the talk will be in French with lots of illustrations and there will be time for questions. The venue is the Guilldford Rugby Club with its convenient car park and bar facilities. Come and practise your French before or after the talk. Any member unable to attend in person on the night might be able to do so on Zoom.
