Mychael Barratt PPRE is a painter and printmaker whose work is packed with witty storytelling, historical references, and intricate detail. His visual narratives confidently borrow from art history, literature, and culture, weaving well-known figures and moments into rich, imaginative compositions. His work invites close observation-offering hidden surprises, clever humour, and a connection to artistic heritage.

A collector favourite, Mychael is known for his popular Artists Dogs and Cats series, which reimagines legendary artists alongside their fictional companions in their signature styles. His maps and cityscapes, often centred on London, chart historical moments and artistic movements with playful precision. Originally from Toronto, Barratt has lived and worked in the UK since 1984. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, he is a Fellow and former President of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.

Mychael’s work will be shown with Anna Noël, the renowned ceramic sculptor based in Wales, celebrated for her distinctive animal figures that blend folk traditions with contemporary ceramic techniques. Anna creates expressive, narrative-led sculptures inspired by mythology, poetry, and childhood stories. Her work is characterised by its sculptural form, rich surface texture, and quiet humour, often exploring the emotional connection between humans and animals
