Rising Stars 2025: The National Platform for Early-Career Makers

New Ashgate Gallery is proud to present Rising Stars 2025, a nationally curated platform that champions early-career makers. The programme provides emerging talent with their first professional exhibition, offering an unparalleled opportunity to connect with collectors and showcase their work. For collectors, Rising Stars is an exclusive chance to discover and invest in the next generation of talent, contributing to the future of British craft and design.

We thank our judges Dan Goode (Making Goode), Sharon Ting and Debra Allman (University for the Creative Arts) and Outi Remes (New Ashgate Gallery), for their expertise in selecting the Rising Stars 2025 makers.

Programme Highlights:

Curated Exhibition: A showcase at New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, featuring exceptional work by early-career makers.

Professional Catalogue: Promoting the selected makers to collectors and the wider creative community.

Awards: One maker will receive a solo exhibition in 2026 at New Ashgate Gallery. The winner and a runner-up will be awarded a one-to-one coaching session with Caroline Jackman, an expert in craft business development with over 20 years of experience.

We are committed to fostering diversity in craft. Rising Stars actively supports makers from underrepresented groups, including Black, Asian, and ethnically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ makers, and those with visible or non-visible disabilities.

Rising Stars 2025 is organised by New Ashgate Gallery in partnership with University for the Creative Arts, Making Goode and Crafts Study Centre. The programme is generously supported by the Billmeir Charitable Trust. We are also delighted to welcome The Bulb Shed as our official flower partner.
