Qigong is considered to be one of the ancient pillars of Chinese medicine, also connected with ancient forms of martial arts like Tai Chi. It consists of a combination of posture, movement, breathing and meditation techniques aimed towards the harmonious integration of mind, body and emotions. As a system for wellbeing, Qigong claims to help a diverse range of issues including anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, pain management, asthma, arthritis and much more. It is also low impact on bones and joints, accessible to everyone irrespective of physical condition and easily adapted if you have specific physical needs. My classes are kept deliberately small, informal, friendly and relaxing so please do come along and try them for yourself.
