Would you like to grow your own flax for fibre in your garden?
During this Zoom call with Brigitte, we’ll spend 75 minutes (or so) to guide you through the process of getting started with growing flax.
No matter if you have a sunny patch in your garden, allotment or a planter on your patio, you can be part of the ‘flax to fibre’ revival. Flax fibre can be spun into linen yarn, and then transformed into textiles.
In this session, we will cover soil preparation, sowing times, growing cycles, and caring for your crop for the first couple of months.
This is followed by a Q&A session. This session is available for everybody who what so know a bit more about how to grow flax.
The session is £20, or you can take out a membership and get discount on all sessions.
Last we we ‘grew’ jeans. This year we’ll try to perfect our flax to fabric skills so everybody can create their own linen textiles.
