Win a pair of tickets to see Squidge at Yvonnne Arnaud Theatre on Saturday 21st February at 2.45pm
White Noise Theatre present an outrageous, dark comedy about the shortfalls of our education system and finding love in darkness – the debut play of award-winning screenwriter and actress, Tiggy Bayley.
A disillusioned and cynical teaching assistant meets her match in a troubled little Irish Traveller. Squidge follows Daisy as she navigates her new job in a South London state school. When she is assigned a young Irish traveller to help with his reading she finds hope in an unlikely friendship.
The play made its debut at Pleasance Courtyard at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024, where it was shortlisted for the prestigious Popcorn Writing Award and received critical acclaim for its honest and humorous portrayal of a reluctant teaching assistant’s journey of self-discovery. It then had a sold-out London transfer at the Soho Theatre earlier this year.
It takes place at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s Mill Studio.
