One of our Jottings for August invited residents to visit Guildford Cathedral and join them on an exciting journey spiralling up the 249 steps to the top of the cathedral tower, passing through the Ringing Chamber and the Bell Chamber containing the only ring of 12 bells in the Diocese. From the top you can enjoy the stunning 360° views across Guildford and towards London.
I decided to see it for myself and went up this lunchtime and it was well worth the climb! The views are amazing the seeing the bells and the Ringing Chamber was very interesting.
