The Mole Valley Ramblers Spring Walks Festival runs from Saturday 26th April to Monday 5th May.
Take this opportunity to release your inner adventurer and explore the Surrey countryside with our affable and hospitable group. This year’s theme is all about familiarizing yourself with The Mole Valley area.
The 10-day festival features a plethora of guided walks (between 3-15 miles long) that will suit all fitness levels, from the complete novice to the most seasoned walker. Surrey is blessed with miles of footpaths, acres of beguiling woodland and some heavenly scenery. The Mole Valley Area is particularly fortunate to be located in the heart of glorious countryside.
This inexpensive and healthy pursuit is open to anyone with just a few basic items of equipment. Sensible clothing, footwear a snack and some water will get you started. Set out with a safely guided group to enjoy good exercise and pleasurable companionship in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. There is no cost or requirement to join the ramblers during the festival. Likewise no need to pre-book. Just check the website to establish the walk starting time and start location. Arrive about 15 minutes before the published start time.
One of our experienced and knowledgeable team of volunteer walk leaders will greet you, take your details then introduce you to the rest of the walkers. A few of the walks will include a stop at a pub or a café and even a live music venue; others will simply have a picnic break.
We have planned several walk combinations, evening and night time hikes, a nature trail, and much more. With our entertaining walk leaders all are practically guaranteed to have a good time. A 100 mile challenge for the more energetic amongst us, plus individual challenges for the separate walk categories. There is a prize for the most crossings of the district boundary not to mention a photo competition.
