Citizen’s Advice Waverley is looking for positive, open and approachable people who are both excellent communicators and team workers, who respect others differences and are fully committed to the aims and principles of Citizens Advice to fill the following roles:

Community Engagement Officers
Outreach services are based within the local community of Waverley to provide advice, information and assistance to clients who are marginalised and face potential exclusion of access to advice to tackle the problems they face in a variety of subject areas.   These include, but not exclusively, housing, benefits, consumer protection, debt and money problems, employment, education, care, immigration and family issues.

You will provide services to Citizens Advice Waverley’s Quality Standards procedures and will manage a busy caseload as well as taking full part in duties in our offices including providing telephone advice. These roles will be key contributors to developing the capacity and capability of people who live and work in Waverley.  Travel within the area is essential and ideally you will have a car.

Area Session Supervisor – Cranleigh
This is a key role providing day to day management and motivation to the volunteer advice team.  You will mentor, coach and supervise volunteers to ensure the most effective service is delivered to our clients. The Advice Session Supervisor is essential in ensuring that the service is professional, impartial, pragmatic and outcome focused. This role would suit an experienced Adviser looking for the next step.

Advisers
Our Advisers provide confidential, impartial and free information and advice on a wide range of subjects including housing, employment law, debt management, benefits, consumer and family law. You will work with clients, through face to face, on the telephone and by email, research information to provide clients with options so that they can make effective decisions and, where necessary, act on behalf of the client.  You will also take an active role influencing government and other organisations by informing them of the effect of their actions on the lives of clients.  Opportunities exist across the District in Farnham, Haslemere, Godalming and Cranleigh.

Training Co-ordinator
This role will provide essential administrative support to the Training & Quality Manager to ensure that volunteers, both in training and experienced, have access to relevant, up to date and effective training and development opportunities through the promotion, organisation and recording of all training activity.  This may suit an Adviser, who is looking for a change of role, as the right candidate will also provide case checking for Advisers in training.  This role will be based in Farnham.

Receptionists
Our receptionists are the first point of contact for clients visiting our offices and are essential in making people feel welcome, explaining our services and providing information where possible.  They manage the transition between a client arriving and being seen by an Adviser.  A friendly, calm and approachable manner is essential.  Opportunities for this role exist in all our offices at Farnham, Haslemere, Cranleigh and Godalming.
