Join them for the St Nicolas’ Church Rectory Fête on Saturday 11th July

On Saturday 11th July from 11am-3pm, the Rectory Garden will once again come alive with the sights, sounds and spirit of our much‑loved Parish Church Rectory Fete. This cherished village tradition continues to bring together friends, families and neighbours for a day of laughter, music and community spirit.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live music that sets the perfect backdrop for a summer celebration. Children will be spoilt for choice with classic games and activities, while adults can try their luck at the raffle or the ever‑popular bottle tombola. For those seeking refreshment, the Beer and Pimm’s Tent will be open all day, offering a relaxed spot to unwind and catch up with familiar faces.

A wonderful variety of stalls will be dotted around the garden, including plants, jewellery, books, toys, re‑gifting, and of course the cake stall — always a highlight for those with a sweet tooth and sells out fast. The barbecue will be sizzling from start to finish, ensuring no one goes hungry as they explore everything the fete has to offer.

All proceeds from the day go directly towards maintaining our historic parish church, which has stood at the heart of village life since 1170. Funds also support a range of community activities that help keep our village vibrant, welcoming and connected.

Whether you’re a long‑time resident or new to the area, the Rectory Fete is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the place we call home. Come along, bring your friends, and be part of a tradition that has brought joy to generations.

We look forward to seeing you there.
