Crowdfund Guildford is back, offering funding for community projects this Spring. They’re here to support our communities by providing funding of up to £5,000 for projects led by groups or individuals that will have a positive impact on our community.

Crowdfund Guildford is for all residents. If you have a great idea to benefit your community, you can fundraise to then get financial support from them. The process is a community effort where individuals or groups contribute small amounts of money and support to your project. They could then offer extra funding up to £5,000 as a boost.

So, if you’ve got a fantastic community project in mind, they’re here to help you turn your idea into reality. They are looking to support projects that:

  • help people who need it most, including those who might find it hard to get help and people from different cultural backgrounds
  • improve rural areas, like stopping crime, taking care of nature, and creating fun things to do
  • improve green spaces or build new ones, to make sure there are accessible green spaces for everyone
  • make it easier for people to enjoy nature and see wildlife near where they live
  • improve people’s wellbeing by providing sports and creative opportunities

Schools and parish councils can get money to make their ideas happen now too!

Crowdfunding is an opportunity to help improve community spaces, organise local events, or fix things that matter.

If you can dream it, you can create a project with Crowdfund Guildford.

The new round will open on 8th March 2024 and the funding is supported by the UK Share Prosperity Fund. Find out more at their free virtual kick-off event.

Leader of the Council and Crowdfund Ambassador, Cllr Julia McShane welcomes project ideas, big or small:

“If you have an idea, we believe in it! Bring your idea to us and we’ll help you make it a reality. We’ll be hosting a virtual kick-off event on 8 March where you can find out more about how to get your project started. The event is free to attend and we’ll give you all the tools and resources you need to get started. We’ll support you throughout your Crowdfunding journey too, so you’re not in this alone. No matter how big or small you think your idea is, if it helps people living here, it’s worth it and we want to hear about it!”
