Cranleigh BID launches public Wi-Fi across High Street

Cranleigh BID is delighted to announce the launch of public Wi-Fi in Cranleigh, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to enhance digital connectivity for the local community.

Supported by funding from BID levy payers and the Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce, this initiative delivers on a key business plan pillar— bringing digital accessibility to the High Street—three years ahead of schedule. Seven strategically located public Wi-Fi hotspots are being installed, with The Arts Centre and The Village Hall (including Village Way car park) coming online today.

Cranleigh BID extends its sincere gratitude to The Arts Centre and the Parish Council for their invaluable support in making this project a reality. Residents and visitors can now connect by selecting ‘Destination Cranleigh’ in their Wi-Fi settings—simply log in once for seamless access. In addition, Waverley Borough Council will soon introduce new car park payment machines that will benefit from the public Wi-Fi network.

The remaining locations to be rolled out over the next 4 weeks are:

Christian Reid
Cranleigh Bathroom Studios
Brightcare
TWPThe Cranleigh Methodist Church (serving Stocklund Square car park)

Looking ahead, Cranleigh BID is excited to announce that details of its groundbreaking Phase 2 will be unveiled in the New Year.
