Final preparations are underway for the Surrey Hills Country Fair, this Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm – come along for a packed weekend of countryside celebration, family fun, and community spirit at Merrist Wood College in Guildford.
With warm weather forecast, organisers are ready with plenty of shaded areas, free water refill stations, and dog bowls throughout the site to keep everyone comfortable — including four-legged guests.
This year’s event has over 100 stalls and activities confirmed. Visitors can enjoy a fantastic mix of traditional countryside skills and modern-day experiences. Highlights include:
- Free rock climbing, hover ball, axe throwing and forest bathing sessions
- Free parcour workshops for energetic youngsters
- Animal encounters ranging from farm favourites to exotic species
- Tractor, pony and shire horse and cart rides (small fee)
- A dedicated agricultural show area
- A full careers and education zone hosted by Merrist Wood College
- Live music, artisan food and drink, face painting, and a buzzing market of over 80 Surrey Hills makers and producers
The event is a collaboration between Surrey Hills Enterprises and Merrist Wood College, bringing together rural education, local enterprise, and family-friendly entertainment.
